Jennifer Waxman is the Head of Collection Management at Tulane University Special Collections. She received her master’s degree in history and a certificate of archival management from New York University. She has consulted for museums and special libraries and worked as an archivist for research and academic institutions, including the American University in Cairo, NYU Libraries, the Center for Jewish History, and the National WWII Museum. Jennifer’s professional focus includes archival and collection management, metadata creation and digital asset management, preservation, risk mitigation and disaster response. She was a founding member and former chair of the New Orleans Preservation Coalition and Alliance for Response (NOPC-AfR) and she currently serves as their Emergency and City Liaison. Jennifer was appointed to the Louisiana Historical Records Advisory Board in 2024.
