As climate change continues to result in very visible impacts on communities worldwide, GLAMR institutions are increasingly becoming more interested in addressing issues related to climate resiliency, climate adaptation, climate justice, and climate response within their own networks. However, it can often be overwhelming to know how to get started, as many moving pieces are often required to create, operate, and sustain these efforts. From establishing funding to generating buy-in from stakeholders or creating resources, programming, crafting action plans, and documenting policy, this Community of Practice surrounding issues of climate and resiliency in the GLAMR community can give us a place to anchor the conversation. Join us for a panel workshop that will provide an overview of addressing climate resilience for libraries and cultural heritage institutions unsure of where to get started. Speakers include path breaking experts in climate work with varied backgrounds and experiences to share their knowledge and inspire new projects.
