Professor Mark Merrifield, a distinguished climate change and sea-level research expert, directs the Center for Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He returned after a 20-year tenure as director of the University of Hawaii Sea Level Center. His research focuses on sea-level rise, climate variability, coastal oceanography, and nearshore processes.
